Have you had amazing, juicy barbeque lately? Maybe…but there’s nothing like Old Hickory Inn Barbeque in Missouri City, TX (in the Township Square)! This savory and tasty eatery has been a pillar of not only Missouri City, but the entire Quail Valley community. Owner, Ted Karnezis, tells the story of this family-owned establishment that first started out as Momma Bessie’s Seafood.
A Taste of History
A year after Momma Bessie’s opened, Ted’s dad bought the restaurant and converted it into the seriously good barbeque spot the entire town constantly craves. As the restaurant grew, both Ted and his father reached out to the local community for help and support. Leonetti Graphics, owned by Don Leonetti, helped with the beautiful artwork, shirts, and banners you’ll see throughout.
Over the years, both local and national celebrities have come by to see what everyone’s been raving about. Former Texas governor Rick Perry and Football Legends Bruce Matthews and Warren Moon are just a few to name. Bruce Matthews still frequents the place…and for good reason!
Everything you’ll dine on is made from scratch daily. That’s right! The beans, potato salad, dressings, onions, fries, and everything else are made in-house; nothing is pre-made by some anonymous company.
So come by, grab some fresh eats, and get ready for the best barbeque in Texas!
